A Legacy of Public Service
DLE Consulting Group began as an idea birthed from the convergence of hard work, love of family and commitment to community. The Bullard family launched DLE in 1994 after successfully breaking the glass ceiling of electing the first woman and person of color to Florida House District 118.
Following the election of Representative Larcenia Bullard, the Bullard family was continually asked "How'd you do it?". The answer was simply treat people the way you want to be treated. Respect for your neighbors has been a hallmark staple of how we do business, using retail politics and campaigns as a backdrop.
DLE engaged in the successful elections and re-elections of not just one, but three members of the Bullard family. DLE has also helped elect a number of judges, commissioners and local elected officials. As the portfolio of work expanded, DLE also added a governmental consulting component, working on a number of policy areas. At the time the work was led by our parents, DLE Co-Founders, the Honorable Edward Bullard and the Honorable Larcenia J. Bullard.
Watching our parents engage both clients and community laid the foundation for the culture of DLE. Following the passing of our mother in 2013, the consulting firm downsized its portfolio of work. All the while, Dwight and Edwina continued their respective personal and professional lives.
Fast forward to 2020 as our collective lives were transformed by the dual pandemics of COVID-19 and lingering racial and social justice tensions, Edwina and Dwight made the determination that rebranding and relaunching DLE was necessary in order to help candidates, companies and communities navigate a rapidly changing world, that requires a broader and more inclusive vision. This is a family business that thrives to treat YOU like an extension of our family.
